Noha Deyab
Overview
Noha Deyab is an artist with a Bachelor of Visual Arts from The American University in Cairo, specializing in Islamic Art and Architecture. Deyab has acquired numerous artistic experiences through her visits to local and international museums, such as the Louvre in France, Tate Modern and the British Museum in London. In addition to these studies, she has had many visits to archaeological sites in Egypt, Greece, Italy, France and England. Deyab is a mixed media artist utilizing different materials and techniques in her work. Her artwork is mostly abstract with a suggested figurative presence. In her works she uses free brushtrokes of color and mixed media from acrylic, oil and other materials, always discovering and experimenting with different relationships on her surfaces. Her inspiration comes from Egypt’s diverse nature, and she seeks to express the beauty and energy of people and their emotions. Noha strives to translate the relationship between people and their surroundings in a visual narration with color, shape and figure, in both direct and unconventional ways. Along with the artists of the Futuristic Nostalgia, Noha Deyab agrees on the importance of teamwork, the exchange of experiences, and the need to look toward the future in an attempt to strengthen the message of Art and its impact on future generations. Futuristic Nostalgia are also united in the love of Alexandria and the passion for the return of the city of wisdom joy and eternity.
