Mansoora Hassan

Mansoora Hassan was born in Peshawar, Pakistan and received a Master in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute, New York. She is a photographer, painter and video artist, working in mixed media. Hassan has exhibited and traveled extensively, with works in public and private collections worldwide, including Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Malaysia, Bolivia, Uruguay, Senegal, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the USA. Hassan's work has been included in books such as Unveiling the Visible: Lives & Works of Women Artists of Pakistan and reviewed in Art in America, art catalogues, newspapers and television programs. Her work was awarded the Biennale Prize at the 8th Cairo International Biennale. She is also an arts curator/administrator and an arts activist.
